Prince George Masonic Lodge #115 Donates Hundreds of Dollars to Benefit PGCPS Elementary Students

March 17, 2023

Prince George Masonic Lodge #115 recently donated hundreds of dollars to each of the county's elementary schools as each campus prepares to host its book fair.

Since February, the lodge has made $100 donations to L.L. Beazley Elementary, D.A. Harrison Elementary, Middle Road Elementary, North Elementary, and South Elementary, presenting checks to the school's librarian. The organization's donations aim to support those students who may need help making purchases at their school's upcoming book fair.

The organization is hopeful their act of kindness both helps more students who may not have been able to afford to buy books at the upcoming fair be able to experience the fun of their school's Scholastic Book Fair while also inspiring other community organizations to find ways to support Prince George County students and their local schools.

The Prince George Masonic Lodge #115 has consistently partnered with and supported Prince George County Public Schools. In March of 2022, the organization recognized PGCPS' Assistant Superintendent for Instruction and Accountability William "Bill" Barnes with its Community Builder Award, recognizing him for his decades of community service to Prince George County in various educational roles. Additionally, Prince George School Board District 1 representative Cecil Smith is a longtime member of the community organization.
