Due to the potential for hazardous conditions anticipated from this evening’s snowfall and accompanying cold weather, Prince George County Public Schools will operate on a TWO-HOUR DELAY on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
This means pickup and the start of the school day for students will begin two hours later than normal. Due to this two-hour delay, breakfast will not be served.
Essential staff are to report on-time. All other staff should report two hours late.
Please note, our staff will continue to monitor weather and road conditions throughout the overnight hours. If conditions change and necessitate schools to close, we will let you know by 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.
Staff Information:
“Essential personnel” are classified as all 12-month contracted personnel such as administrators, secretaries, custodians, construction and maintenance, bus garage, support staff, etc., and any others determined by the Superintendent. In any of the situations described above, if an individual classified as essential has extenuating conditions or circumstances, he/she should contact their supervisor immediately to discuss any special arrangements that could be made. Liberal leave may be used by an employee if one cannot report for work.
