First Grade

At L.L. Beazley Elementary School, first grade is a year of growth, discovery, and increasing independence. Students build upon the foundational skills developed in kindergarten while strengthening their abilities in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Through engaging lessons and hands-on learning experiences, students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems, and work collaboratively with their peers. Teachers provide a supportive learning environment that helps students gain confidence as learners and develop positive habits for academic success.

First grade serves as an important step in helping students become independent thinkers, effective communicators, and enthusiastic learners.
